ABOUT ME AND THIS SITE |
I will eventually publish a full bio here, but for now know that I am a left-brained analytical thinker trained as an engineer who ended up in security, risk, and process roles. I am a father with two daughters, and the only marginally bad things that have happened to me were almost invariably self-inflicted. I recognize how fortunate I am, and am trying to use my position and influence to help others.
The site is organized into three sections: Show Notes, Long Form, and Security and Risk. You can move to any of those sections in the header above. Show Notes is a weekly diary of things I read, drank, pondered, considered, or did. The idea for calling it Show Notes was after a monthly outing with a couple friends when one commented that we needed to compile show notes for everything we discussed each night, much like the show note on a podcast episode. Long Form is a section for longer articles that need more time than a few minutes at the end of a week. I envision Long Form to be a repository for completed projects. Security and Risk is where I will post essays on topics in the fields of information and cyber security, and risk management. These will focus on the concepts of being a risk-focused security leader rather than the particular technical details of our field.
